Effective data management is central to informed decision-making in healthcare leadership and public health planning. As part of the ongoing Integrated Diabetes Awareness and Care (IDAC) Project, we collaborated with the Imo State Ministry of Health and the Imo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, to host a three-day Performance and Data Review Meeting in Owerri last week.
The forum convened key stakeholders, including representatives from the State Ministry of Health, LGA Monitoring & Evaluation Officers, public health experts, and frontline healthcare workers. It also provided a platform to assess project implementation, address reporting challenges, and enhance the quality of data related to Type 2 Diabetes and Hypertension.
Discussions underscored the critical role of accurate, timely, and actionable data in driving improved health outcomes. Cross-sector collaboration and continuous learning were highlighted as essential for sustained impact.
Representing the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Chidinma Okoro affirmed: “The IDAC project aligns perfectly with our Governor’s vision for universal health coverage. We must champion innovative and sustainable models to ensure these efforts endure.”
HSDF remains deeply committed to advancing data-driven health interventions that deliver measurable impact.
