The Q2 2026 Donor Coordination Meeting, chaired by Hon. Mukhtar Ahmed, Commissioner, Planning & Budget Commission, Kaduna State, brought together the Kaduna State Government and development partners to review ongoing interventions, assess progress, and strengthen coordination across key sectors.

HSDF contributed to the discussions, supporting conversations around better coordination, programme and financial data, and the alignment of development investments with Kaduna State’s priorities and implementation frameworks.

Discussions highlighted the importance of coordinated development efforts amid constrained fiscal resources, with stakeholders emphasizing stronger information sharing, improved reporting, and greater integration of partner-supported interventions into government systems.

Updates across health, education, agriculture, governance, and social protection demonstrated the breadth of development partner support across the state. Stakeholders also identified opportunities to improve visibility of investments and results and strengthen the use of reliable data for planning, budgeting, accountability, and decision-making.

Going forward, stakeholders committed to strengthening quarterly reporting and ensuring continued alignment with the Kaduna State Development Plan, SUSTAIN Agenda, SDGs, and national development priorities.

For HSDF, the engagement reinforces its role in supporting stronger coordination, evidence-informed planning, and improved alignment of health investments with Kaduna State’s priorities to strengthen accountability, resource use, and impact across the health sector.
