HSDF works on projects across the health and social sector in Africa, addressing complex and fundamental systems challenges. We focus on the core pillars of health systems strengthening as well as priority disease and programmatic areas that improve health outcomes and reduce disease burden.  Our work spans 11 core technical domains — each backed by deep expertise, rigorous evidence, and a track record of measurable results. We also address the social and environmental determinants of health through our engagement in nutrition, social safety nets, and private sector partnerships.  Since 2014, we have delivered 74+ projects across 24+ African countries.
