Niger State’s Human Resources for Health (HRH) was often characterized by inadequate staffing and low productivity. To identify the underlying causes of low Health Work Force (HWF) productivity, HSDF conducted qualitative and quantitative studies in 274 focal PHCs in the state. We also co-developed a five-step approach with the Niger State Ministry of Health to optimize workforce performance and productivity.
