Dr. Chizoba Wonodi is a public health physician with over twenty-five years of experience in Africa, Asia and America.
She is the Nigerian programs director at the Johns Hopkins International Vaccine Access Center (IVAC) based in Baltimore. She splits her time between Abuja and Baltimore leading a portfolio of work to improve immunization service delivery and primary health care systems in Nigeria through operations research, technical assistance and advocacy. She is also the national convener for Women Advocates for Vaccine Access (WAVA), a coalition of civil society organizations dedicated to ensuring equity and sustainability in access to vaccines.
Dr. Wonodi obtained her medical degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria and her master’s and doctorate degrees in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she received many awards, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute scholarship for masters and doctorate studies and the Carolyn Cochrane Fellowship award.
