Stakeholders in Kaduna’s health sector came together to develop a Primary Health Care (PHC) Financing Budget and Accountability Framework Tracker — a key step toward strengthening transparency and financial stewardship in PHC delivery.

HSDF, represented by Abolade Oyelere (State Team Lead), provided technical guidance on linking Annual Operational Plan (AOP) indicators to PHC budget performance and facilitated discussions on the practical application of costed AOPs to financing flows.

The workshop achieved key milestones, including the design of a draft PHC Financing Accountability Framework Tool, consensus on key accountability indicators, and a roadmap for implementation. It also fostered stronger collaboration among partners working to improve PHC financing, with HSDF playing a leading coordination role.

This marks renewed momentum toward greater financial visibility, evidence-based decision-making, and improved service delivery across Kaduna State’s PHC system.
