Project Aisha recently hosted an engaging two-day event with its key funder, MSD-for-Mothers. The first day was packed with insightful roundtable discussions, where the project team showcased significant achievements, shared key learnings, addressed challenges, and mapped out future strategies to enhance their impact in Lagos and Kaduna. Leaders from both public and private healthcare facilities also joined focus groups to delve into the project’s effects, ongoing challenges, and potential opportunities for growth in both sectors.
The momentum continued into the second day with the inaugural in-person meeting of the Strengthening Systems for Safer Childbirth (S3C) West Africa Community of Practice. This quarterly hub meeting brought together participants to discuss progress, brainstorm on financial sustainability, and explore strategies for scaling up. Representatives from FORM(om) and Wellbody, along with other coalition members, contributed to a vibrant exchange of ideas.
Committed to its mission, Project Aisha continues to strive toward reducing maternal mortality and obstetric complications in Lagos and Kaduna through innovative solutions, including quality improvement strategies, advanced technology, community engagement, and enhanced leadership skills.
