Practical Session on Using Process Maps to Identify Bottlenecks and Develop Change Ideas

The 3-day peer learning event seeks to establish a maternal health Quality Improvement (QI) collaborative and develop quality improvement competency of selected general hospitals, private hospitals, and Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities within Lagos state. Among other things, participants will learn how to use QI tools and techniques in delivering tangible improvements within their facilities.

In her opening remarks, the Director of Nursing Services, Lagos State Primary Healthcare Board, Mrs. Oyesanya Olasumbo, stated –

At the end of this event, we hope that participants will become better professionals equipped with the requisite skills and knowledge to improve their individual performance as well as the quality of care delivered at their respective facilities.

Project Aisha leverages women’s voices to tackle barriers to safe childbirth. The MSD-funded project aims to reduce maternal deaths and obstetric complications, by addressing the systemic drivers of maternal deaths within the health system.
