From 26 to 27 January 2026, HSDF participated in the National Validation Meeting for the review of the National Policy on Food and Nutrition (NPFAN) 2026–2035, held in Abuja.

Convened by the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, the meeting brought together government institutions, development partners, and nutrition stakeholders to review and strengthen the revised national policy framework. Participants examined the policy chapters, assessed alignment with current evidence, and provided technical recommendations during both group and plenary discussions.

The validated draft policy will next be presented to the National Council on Nutrition before proceeding to the Federal Executive Council for approval.

HSDF’s participation in the validation process reinforces its role as a credible technical partner in national nutrition governance and reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to advancing evidence-based policy and improving nutrition outcomes across Nigeria.
