On 23 February 2026, Kaduna State conducted a two-day training to prepare data collectors for the Primary Health Care Facility Expenditure Tracking (PFET) exercise covering January to December 2025.
The training strengthened the capacity of field teams responsible for tracking financial inflows and expenditures across the State’s 23 Centres of Excellence, reinforcing the Kaduna State Service Delivery Plan (KSSDP) commitment to building strong enumerator capacity ahead of field deployment.
Participants were trained on funding flows, expenditure categories, and verification procedures while adopting standardised approaches for data extraction, documentation, and reporting using Android devices. Sessions also covered managing missing documents, resolving inconsistencies, and applying validation checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Ethical compliance remained central throughout the training, with emphasis on confidentiality, responsible handling of financial information, and adherence to professional data collection standards.
By strengthening enumerator capacity, the PFET exercise will generate credible and standardised PHC expenditure data, enabling stronger financial analysis, improved identification of funding gaps, and more informed decision-making to support efficient and accountable use of PHC resources in Kaduna State.
