Today, we unite with the global movement to raise awareness about the importance of health and well-being for all. This yearโs theme, โ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ, ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฌโ emphasizes the importance of providing quality care to women and babies, addressing both immediate and long-term health needs. This focus is critical, as current estimates indicate that nearly ๐๐๐,๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ง die annually due to pregnancy or childbirth-related causes, while ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ ๐ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ฌ die in their first month of life, and around ๐ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ are stillborn globally (WHO Data).
As part of our efforts to address these global health challenge, Project Aisha is excited to announce the launch of our new Maternal Health Care Dashboard, designed to provide crucial insights that drive data-informed decisions to improve maternal health outcomes across selected facilities in Lagos and Kaduna states. The dashboard showcases key achievements, including the assessment of 71 facilities across 5 Local Government Areas, evaluating the quality of care through input, process, outcome, and user perspectives in delivering quality RMNCAH services.
With real-time data, weโre working to pave the way for safer births and a reduction in maternal deaths, empowering healthcare providers and decision-makers to take informed action where itโs needed most.
