NACOTAN Partners with Hello Tractor to Boost Cotton Production in Nigeria

The National Cotton Association of Nigeria (NACOTAN) has partnered with Hello Tractor, a leading agricultural technology company, to boost farming efficiency in Nigeria. This partnership, facilitated by the Connect and Learn for Sustainable Association (CLOSA) Project is also aimed at driving revenue growth for NACOTAN and the Cotton, Textile and Garment (CTG) sector.

Aligned with NACOTAN’s goal to improve mechanized farming operations, the partnership will optimize service delivery through Hello Tractor’s real-time monitoring, operational audits, and reporting. This ensures the efficient use of NACOTAN’s fleet of 87 tractors, boosting productivity, reducing operational losses, and improving service quality for NACOTAN members nationwide.

NACOTAN’s president, Dr Anibe Achimugu, discussed the potential impact of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), stating, “This partnership with Hello Tractor is a testament to our commitment to innovation and strategic collaboration. By ensuring that our fleet operates at peak efficiency and connecting farmers to our tractors, we are unlocking new possibilities for agricultural growth and economic prosperity.”

This linkage between NACOTAN and Hello Tractor exemplifies CLOSA’s commitment to strengthening PSAs’ capacity to generate revenue and remain commercially viable, ultimately contributing to a thriving private sector ecosystem in West Africa.
